New England Natural Resources Center - a Brief History

In 1970, Charles (Henry) H.W. Foster launched the New England Natural Resources Center (NENRC) to “build credible bridges between business, government, and the citizen environmental movement and to serve as a stimulus to actions across state borders.” In the decades that followed, NENRC laid the foundation for many conservation innovations in New England, including the Wildlands and Woodlands effort.
