Thank you to everyone who attended the 2016 Regional Conservation Partnership Network Gathering and helped to make this annual event a huge success!
This year, the event was held on November 16th, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashua, New Hampshire. The discussion centered on Using The Power of Teamwork to Advance Regional (Big, Innovative, Connected) Conservation. Over 175 registrants attended a total of 15 workshops in five different tracks: Organizing your RCP for Success, Conservation Finance, Advancing RCP Network Priorities, Teaming Up with Other Sectors, and Sub-regional and New Thematic Opportunities to Accelerate Conservation.

Jason Weller, Chief of the Natural Resources Conservation Service, delivered an inspirational and zealous speech that galvanized attendees to go forth and advance conservation in their communities.
He stated, “I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on, or whether you’re even in an aisle or outside the building: you should all care about natural resources….This is what you guys are all involved in: it’s keeping intact this rich history, the culture and heritage of this country. It’s not just about birds and bees and water; it’s about keeping the tapestry intact.”
